Mugal Gardens of Kashmir

Jammu & Kashmir possess and is the home to India's most beautiful and picturesque Mughal gardens. Built by Mughals in the Persian style of architecture. These are the most popular attraction of Kashmir Valley. With terrace lawn, cascading fountains,  flower bed and with panorama of Dal lake in the front, these gardens are worth spending time and enjoying the beauty.





Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Garden, Chame shai Garden. As these are based on Persian architecture, some of typical features like pools, fountains, canals inside the garden are common in all of these gardens.
More details about these gardens and their archaeological significance is available online. But what's fascinating about these gardens are the beauty of these gardens. Being near to Srinagar city these gardens are crowded with weekends and school kids for picnic, but dnt worry these are large enough to provide you space of your own.

  1. Shalimar bagh : largest Mughal garden in india. And is very beautiful during thr autumn and spring season due to color change in leaves of chinar trees.
  2. Nishat garden, second largest Mughal garden located bank of dal lake with the backdrop of Zabarwan mountains. This garden is known as garden of bliss, garden of gladness or garden of delight. It is a broad cascade of terraces lined with avenues of chinar ttess and cypress trees. Starts from the lake shore and reaches up to artificial facade at the hill end.
  3. Chasme shahi.  Build around a spring in the zabarwan range.  This garden is too charming along the bank of dal.
  4. Parimahal. Is  beautiful  seven terraced garden over looking city of Srinagar at the top of Zabarwan mountain range.  So once you reach, you can view whole beautiful Srinagar city. It is near to chasme shahi garden and can be easily reached.
